In their last meeting on March 7th, the Wizards fell short against Orlando Magic with a score of 109-119. However, they demonstrated an ability to lead for significant portions of the game and boasted an impressive bench contribution of 48 points. The team's fast break performance was notable as well, with a conversion rate of 58 percent resulting in 18 fast break points.

The Wizards' offensive capabilities were further highlighted in their previous away game against Utah Jazz on March 5th where they scored an admirable 115 points. Their assists-to-turnover ratio stood at a commendable 1.73 and they managed to secure a substantial lead during much of that contest.

However, it's crucial for Washington to tighten up defensively after allowing an average of over 120 points across these past games. With Houston coming into this matchup after experiencing their own defensive woes throughout the season, it presents an opportunity for Washington's offense to capitalize.

The key battle will likely be fought in transition where both teams have shown proficiency but also vulnerability. If WAS can control the pace and exploit HOU’s transitional defense while simultaneously shoring up their own backcourt protection, they stand a good chance at outmaneuvering their opponents.

It is essential that Washington leverages its home-court advantage and feeds off the energy from its supporters at Capital One Arena. A victory here could serve as a catalyst for building momentum towards ending this challenging season on high notes.

Fans should mark their calendars for March 19th when these two teams will tip-off at 7:00 PM Eastern Time in DC’s basketball coliseum. The action can be caught live on MNMT or Space City Home Network – ensuring no one misses out on what promises to be an enthralling duel between two eager contenders looking to finish strong as we approach playoff territory.
