Washington Wizards open with a 33-point quarter at Delta Center and keep the Utah Jazz chasing possessions

The Washington Wizards moved to 17-55 after a 133-110 road result over the Utah Jazz, who went to 21-52, in Salt Lake City. The Washington Wizards vs Utah Jazz final score showed DC producing 133 with 27 assists, while the Jazz finished with 110 and 34 assists at Delta Center.

First quarter


The Washington Wizards set the pace with 33 points in the 1st quarter while holding the Jazz to 20. The Wiz shot 55 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3 in the game, and the early separation matched a night that featured a 37-point biggest lead and 47:24 time leading. The Wizards also logged 12 steals and forced 19 turnovers overall, and those extra possessions helped DC get to 15 points off turnovers.


Second quarter


The Wizards added 39 points in the 2nd quarter, and the lead was reinforced by 70 points in the paint and 22 second-chance points. Washington finished with 63 total rebounds and 13 offensive boards, and that work on the glass supported 94 field-goal attempts and 52 makes. Julian Reese anchored the interior with 26 points and 17 rebounds, and his 75 percent shooting fit the Wizards’ 63 percent mark on 2-point attempts.


Third quarter


The Wizards scored 32 in the 3rd quarter, and ball pressure stayed active with those 12 steals against Utah’s 15 turnovers. Bilal Coulibaly posted 3 steals as the Wizards kept Utah’s 3-point shooting to 24 percent on 29 attempts.
