Falcons Dominate Seawolves at Falcon Stadium in Season Opener

In a commanding display of football, the Air Force Falcons defeated the Stony Brook Seawolves with a final score of 38-0. The Falcons now hold a season record of 1-0, while the Seawolves stand at 0-1.

The game at Falcon Stadium saw the Air Force Falcons take complete control from start to finish. The home team's defense was impenetrable, allowing zero points throughout the game and securing one interception that was returned for a touchdown covering 32 yards. This defensive strength contributed to their shutout victory over the Seawolves.

On offense, the Falcons' ground game proved unstoppable as they amassed an impressive 333 rushing yards over 77 attempts, averaging over four yards per carry. Their commitment to the running game paid off with four rushing touchdowns, including their longest run of just 31 yards but consistently effective drives that kept their opponents on defense.

The passing game for the Air Force was notably less prominent but efficient enough to complement their running success. With only eight passing attempts and two completions totaling 29 yards, it was clear where their offensive focus lay.

Special teams also played a role in this comprehensive win. The Falcons' kickoffs traveled a total of 427 yards with four resulting in touchbacks. Their field goal unit managed to split its efforts down the middle – converting one field goal from within forty-nine yards while missing another attempt.

Penalties were minimal for both teams; however, it is worth noting that despite only three penalties costing them thirty yards throughout the entire game, discipline remained an essential factor for both sides.

As fans look ahead after this dominant performance by their team, they can mark their calendars for September 8 when Air Force will face off against Florida Atlantic Owls at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton. This upcoming encounter is scheduled for a kickoff time at noon local time and will be broadcasted on Facebook Live where fans can tune in to support their team once again.
