In an intense game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, the Alabama Crimson Tide demonstrated their offensive capabilities against the Florida Gators. The Crimson Tide's passing attack was particularly effective, with a completion percentage of nearly 63 and three touchdowns through the air. The longest touchdown pass was recorded at 26 yards. On the ground, they managed to add another touchdown to their tally.

The defense for Alabama also made its presence felt by recording one sack and six tackles for loss while limiting the Gators' scoring opportunities. A crucial interception returned for four yards helped to stifle one of Florida's drives.

Penalties could have been problematic as Alabama accrued eleven penalties totaling 75 yards but managed to overcome this obstacle without it affecting the final outcome significantly.
