In front of an impressive crowd at Bryant-Denny Stadium, the Alabama Crimson Tide demonstrated their offensive capabilities against the Tennessee Volunteers. Despite a slow start that saw them trailing by 13 points after the first quarter, Alabama's resilience shone through as they ended up scoring 34 points by game's end. The Crimson Tide's passing attack was particularly effective; they completed 14 out of 21 attempts for a total of 220 yards and two touchdowns. Their longest pass completion was an impressive 46 yards which also resulted in their longest touchdown.

On defense, Alabama was just as formidable. They sacked Tennessee’s quarterback four times for a loss of thirty-three yards and recorded three quarterback hits. Additionally, they forced one fumble and recovered it for twenty-four yards which led to another touchdown for Alabama.

Alabama’s ground game contributed significantly to their victory as well. They rushed forty-two times accumulating one hundred thirty-eight yards and scoring once on a five-yard dash to the end zone. Their special teams were perfect on field goal attempts with two successful kicks including one from fifty yards out.

The Volunteers did not go down without showing some resistance though; they managed to put up twenty points against Alabama’s defense but failed to score in either third or fourth quarters due to relentless pressure from their opponents.
