On offense, quarterback Jalen Milroe had mixed results; he completed 25 out of 45 pass attempts totaling 239 yards with one touchdown but also threw two interceptions. His efforts on the ground were stifled by Tennessee's defense as he managed only eleven rushing yards over fourteen attempts.


Special teams played a crucial role in field positioning as James Burnip punted seven times for Alabama accumulating 327 yards in total punts which helped keep Tennessee at bay during critical moments of the game.

Despite these individual efforts and maintaining possession for over thirty-three minutes compared to Tennessee’s shorter control time, penalties proved costly for Alabama. They were penalized fifteen times throughout the match resulting in 115 penalty yards which hindered their progress significantly.
