At Mountain America Stadium, with an attendance of over 54,000 fans, the Arizona State Sun Devils demonstrated resilience despite falling short against their undefeated opponents. The Sun Devils' offense managed to accumulate a total of 353 yards throughout the game. Their passing game contributed significantly with 263 yards; however, they were sacked eight times which hindered their offensive momentum. The quarterback's performance was notable with two passing touchdowns and an overall rating of approximately 127.

The rushing efforts added another dimension to their offense as they gained 90 yards on the ground and scored one touchdown from within red zone territory. Their longest rush was an impressive run of 18 yards. Despite these efforts, they faced challenges moving forward due to two lost fumbles during critical moments.

Special teams played without error as both field goal attempts were successful from within the range of thirty-nine yards or less, contributing six points to their total score. Kickoff returns also added value with an average return distance nearing twenty-eight yards.

Defensively, Arizona State showed tenacity by recording two sacks and forcing one fumble which they recovered themselves. However, this defensive effort could not fully contain the Trojan's dynamic offense.

On the other side of the ball, USC capitalized on every opportunity presented to them throughout each quarter scoring consistently and maintaining a lead that ultimately secured their victory.

Looking ahead for Arizona State Sun Devils fans: The team will be traveling to face off against California Golden Bears at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley on September 30th at noon local time (7 PM UTC). This upcoming contest can be viewed live on Pac-12 Network where supporters can tune in to watch their team compete once again on collegiate football's stage.
