In a week 7 showdown at LaVell Edwards Stadium, the Arizona Wildcats faced a tough opponent in the BYU Cougars, culminating in a 41-19 defeat for the visitors. The Wildcats now stand at a 3-3 record for the season, while the Cougars remain undefeated with a 6-0 tally. Despite their efforts and moments of brilliance, Arizona couldn't overcome BYU's dominance on both ends of the field.

The game was marked by significant contributions from several Wildcats players. Quarterback Noah Fifita had mixed results with 275 passing yards and one touchdown but was hindered by three interceptions. His performance showcased his ability to move the ball downfield despite facing relentless pressure from BYU's defense.


On the ground, running back Quali Conley found some success against a stout Cougars defense, rushing for 39 yards on 13 attempts and scoring one touchdown. Defensive back Genesis Smith forced a fumble showcasing aggressive playmaking that briefly swung momentum in favor of Arizona. Additionally, Demetrius Freeney recovered a fumble providing another spark for the team’s defensive unit.


However, it wasn't enough to stifle BYU’s offensive onslaught which managed to put up forty-one points through consistent execution throughout all four quarters.
