First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams testing each other's defenses. Arizona struck first with a touchdown, while Kansas State managed to respond with a field goal. The Cats' defense showed resilience early on, limiting K-State's offensive opportunities and setting the tone for the rest of the match.

Second Quarter

Arizona took control in the second quarter by adding another ten points to their tally. Noah Fifita led an effective offense that capitalized on key plays and maintained possession effectively. Meanwhile, Michael Salgado-Medina contributed significantly by converting crucial field goals that extended Arizona's lead.

Third Quarter

Kansas State mounted a comeback in the third quarter, scoring two touchdowns and narrowing Arizona's lead significantly. However, Ismail Mahdi's impressive rushing performance for U of A provided stability when it was needed most. His ability to gain yards consistently kept Arizona ahead despite K-State’s efforts.

Fourth Quarter

In the final quarter, both defenses tightened up considerably. The Cats managed only three more points but held firm against any further advances from K-State’s offense. Key defensive plays included tackles from Genesis Smith and sacks shared between Treydan Stukes and Deshawn McKnight which thwarted potential scoring drives from their opponents.

This game highlighted several pivotal moments where individual performances made all difference; notably Mahdi’s ground game dominance which proved instrumental in securing this win for U of A.
