A significant portion of this yardage came from their ground game which accounted for 266 rushing yards across 38 attempts, translating to an impressive average of seven yards per carry and culminating in four rushing touchdowns. Ja'Quinden Jackson led this charge with his outstanding performance that included 147 rushing yards on just 15 carries and one touchdown. His longest run stretched for 28 yards, showcasing his speed and agility.


Quarterback Taylen Green also contributed significantly to the running game with two touchdowns and 96 rushing yards over seventeen attempts despite facing three sacks throughout the game. His resilience under pressure was evident as he managed to maintain possession during critical moments.


Defensive Highlights & Special Teams Contributions


On defense, Brad Spence stood out by recording one sack for seven lost yardage against UAB's offense while also contributing one tackle for loss (TFL) and applying pressure with a quarterback hit. The defensive unit as a whole demonstrated their capability by forcing one interception caught by TJ Metcalf who returned it for twenty-three yards.


Special teams played their part in securing field position advantage through Devin Bale's kickoffs which totaled eight attempts resulting in six touchbacks and covering an impressive distance of five hundred eighteen total kickoff return yards.
