The Arkansas Razorbacks secured a commanding victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders with a final score of 39-26. This win improved the Razorbacks' season record to 7-6, while the Red Raiders fell to 8-5. The game, held at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, showcased Arkansas's offensive might and strategic defense, leading to their triumph in front of an attendance of 37,764 fans.

Arkansas Razorbacks: A Closer Look at Their Performance


The Razorbacks demonstrated a potent offense and resilient defense throughout the game. Quarterback Taylen Green had an outstanding performance, throwing for 341 yards with a completion rate of 52 percent and contributing two touchdowns. His longest pass was an impressive 94-yard touchdown throw, highlighting his significant impact on the game's outcome.


On the ground, Arkansas was equally formidable. The team amassed a total of 218 rushing yards from 45 attempts. Rodney Hill and Taylen Green were notable contributors in this area; Hill dashed for a long run of 70 yards among his total of 81 rushing yards while Green added another dimension to his game by rushing for 81 yards himself.


The receiving corps was led by Dazmin James who racked up 137 receiving yards on just three receptions, one of which resulted in a spectacular touchdown from that memorable long pass by Green. Isaac TeSlaa also made significant contributions with three receptions totaling over one hundred yards (107), proving himself as another reliable target for Green.


Defensively, Anton Juncaj stood out by recording one sack and achieving three tackles for loss (TFLs), including securing a safety that contributed directly to the scoreboard. Miguel Mitchell’s interception return added excitement and showcased Arkansas’s defensive prowess by contributing significantly to their field position advantage throughout the contest.


Special teams played their part as well; Matthew Shipley was perfect on field goals making all three attempts with his longest being from forty-three yards out which helped extend Arkansas's lead during critical moments in the game.


Texas Tech Red Raiders: Key Takeaways


Despite falling short against Arkansas, Texas Tech showed resilience especially during the second quarter where they managed to put up sixteen points against Arkansas’s defense. However, they struggled to maintain this momentum into the second half where they were only able to add seven more points to their tally.
