Clash at Davis Wade Stadium: Auburn Tigers Face Mississippi State Bulldogs in College Football Showdown

As the Auburn Tigers prepare to face off against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Davis Wade Stadium, fans are eager for a glimpse into what might unfold on December 12th. The Tigers, who have had a season of highs and lows, are approaching this game with something to prove.

Looking back at their recent performance on December 5th against the Texas A&M Aggies, the Tigers fell short with a score of 20-31. Despite this loss, there were glimpses of potential that could be harnessed in their upcoming game. The rushing attack was particularly effective as they amassed 196 yards on the ground with an average of over six yards per carry and two touchdowns. This facet of their offense will be crucial against Mississippi State.

However, it's not just about carrying the ball; discipline is key. In their November 28th encounter with Alabama's Crimson Tide where they suffered a heavy defeat (13-42), penalties were a significant issue for Auburn – racking up five penalties for 38 yards. They cannot afford such lapses against Mississippi State.

The defense also needs to step up after allowing over thirty points in both games mentioned above. One positive takeaway is that they managed two sacks against Alabama and one sack along with one forced fumble versus Texas A&M – signs that when dialed in, they can disrupt opposing offenses.

Mississippi State Bulldogs will not make things easy for them though; they're known for their tenacity and will look to capitalize on any mistakes made by the Tigers' offense or defense.

Auburn must leverage its strengths while addressing its weaknesses if it hopes to come out victorious from Starkville. With strategic play-calling and focused execution on both sides of the ball, AUB has an opportunity to close out this challenging season on a high note.

Fans should mark their calendars for December 12th at 6:30 PM CST when these two teams clash under the lights at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, MS. The game will be broadcasted live on SEC Network (satellite channel number 611) – an event no fan should miss as we witness whether Auburn can rise above recent setbacks or if Mississippi State will defend home turf successfully.
