Auburn Tigers Clash with Arkansas Razorbacks at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Football Showdown

The Auburn Tigers faced a challenging game at Jordan-Hare Stadium, ending with a 5-7 record against the Arkansas Razorbacks' 7-6. The final score stood at 27-41 in favor of the visiting team.

The home crowd of 83,792 witnessed the Tigers put up a valiant effort on their turf. The offense accumulated a total of 468 yards, with an average gain of 6.6 yards per play. The passing game was notably efficient, as the quarterback completed 72 percent of his passes for a total of 285 yards and one touchdown, which had its longest completion at 49 yards. On the ground, the rushing attack added another dimension to their offense with two touchdowns and an impressive longest run that broke free for 41 yards.


Defensively, Auburn managed to sack Arkansas's quarterback three times for a loss of eighteen total yards and recorded five tackles for loss totaling twenty-four negative yards against their opponents. They also forced one fumble during the game which they successfully recovered.


Special teams had mixed results; while field goal kickers made two out of four attempts – including one from forty-six yards – they also experienced one block among those attempts. Punters were busy as well, punting five times throughout the game and managing to place three inside the twenty-yard line.


In terms of discipline on both sides, penalties were relatively low with Auburn committing seven penalties resulting in fifty-five penalty yards assessed against them.


Looking ahead after this tough contest at home, Auburn fans can mark their calendars for November fifth when the Tigers will take on Mississippi State Bulldogs away from home at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Starkville.
