Baylor Bears Face Setback at Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium Against Kansas State Wildcats in College Football Showdown

At Manhattan's Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium, the Baylor Bears were unable to secure a victory against the Kansas State Wildcats. Despite their efforts, they fell short with a final score of 20 to 33. The game saw an attendance of 52,293 fans who witnessed a hard-fought battle on an artificial surface under open skies.


The Bears' offense managed to accumulate a total of 356 yards with an average gain of about five yards per play over the course of their offensive efforts which included 74 plays. Their passing game contributed significantly with quarterback throwing for one touchdown and completing nearly sixty percent of his passes for a total yardage count that reached just shy under three hundred yards. One remarkable highlight was an impressive seventy-yard touchdown pass that electrified fans.


On the ground, Baylor's rushing attack was highlighted by another standout play - a seventy-four-yard dash into the end zone for a touchdown. Overall though, they struggled to consistently move chains on ground gaining eighty-four yards across twenty-seven attempts.


Special teams had mixed results; while two field goals were successfully made out of three attempts – one being blocked – and two kickoffs resulted in touchbacks from five attempts totaling over three hundred kickoff yards.


Penalties seemed to be an area where discipline could be improved as ten penalties were assessed against them resulting in sixty penalty yards lost which may have impacted their momentum throughout various stages during this contest.


Defensively speaking, while no sacks or interceptions were recorded by Baylor’s defense during this encounter they did manage to force two fumbles recovering one themselves which provided some positive takeaways from their performance despite not being able to contain Kansas State enough on scoreboard.
