At the Caesars Superdome, the Baylor Bears struggled to keep pace with their opponents. Despite a valiant effort on home turf, they were unable to overcome the Georgia Bulldogs' lead. The game saw Baylor accumulate a total of 280 yards, with their passing game contributing 234 yards. However, two interceptions and one lost fumble by the Bears hampered their offensive momentum.

Baylor's quarterback had an average completion percentage of 56 percent from his attempts but was sacked three times for a loss of fifteen yards overall. On the ground, Baylor managed only 61 rushing yards from twenty-eight attempts, averaging just over two yards per carry. Their longest run was seventeen yards.

Penalties also played a significant role in this encounter as Baylor incurred ten penalties for ninety penalty yards throughout the game. This hindered their progress and allowed Georgia additional opportunities to capitalize on mistakes.

The third quarter provided some respite for Baylor fans as they witnessed fourteen points being put up by their team—equaling Georgia's score in that period—but it wasn't enough to shift the overall direction of the game.

Special teams had mixed results; while seven punts averaged forty-nine yards each and placed four inside the twenty-yard line, one punt resulted in a touchback and another gave back twenty-nine return yards to Georgia.

Receiving efforts were led by catches that totaled two hundred thirty-four receiving yards including one touchdown pass caught from twelve-yard out—the longest reception spanned forty-yards but did not result in additional points on that drive.

Defensively speaking, there were bright spots for Baylor; they recorded three sacks totaling twelve sack-yards lost for Georgia and six tackles for loss during critical moments of play which showed resilience despite adverse circumstances throughout most parts of this contest.
