The game was a high-scoring affair, as both teams displayed potent offenses. The Baylor Bears racked up an impressive total of 532 yards over the course of the game. Their passing attack contributed significantly to this tally, with 278 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air; one pass was notably completed for a remarkable distance of 75 yards which also resulted in a touchdown. The quarterback's performance was notable despite two interceptions, achieving a passer rating of approximately 144.

On the ground, Baylor's rushing offense was equally effective, amassing 254 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Their longest rush was an impressive run of 44 yards that did not result in a touchdown; however, another rush did culminate in their longest rushing touchdown from 34 yards out.

Special teams played their part as well – Baylor's kicker successfully converted all six extra point attempts and made good on their only field goal attempt from 39 yards out. Kickoff duties were also handled efficiently by sending four kicks for touchbacks out of eight attempts.

Despite these offensive achievements by the Bears, penalties were kept relatively low with only six infractions costing them just over forty-four total penalty yards throughout the game.

The Liberty Flames managed to edge past despite this strong showing from Baylor. They scored consistently across all four quarters and took advantage of opportunities to secure their win by just three points.

Baylor fans can look forward to seeing if their team can bounce back when they host UTSA Roadrunners at McLane Stadium on September 9th at around seven o'clock PM local time (Central Time). This upcoming game will be broadcasted on FS-SW for those who wish to follow along live as it unfolds.
