First Quarter

Both teams started cautiously, each managing to put up only 3 points on the board. The Green and Gold's kicker Connor Hawkins was instrumental in securing these points with his successful field goal from 53 yards out. This set the tone for what would be a closely fought battle throughout.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, quarterback Sawyer Robertson showcased his arm strength and precision by connecting with tight end Michael Trigg for one of his two touchdowns of the game. Trigg's longest reception was an impressive 33-yard touchdown pass that tied up the score at halftime.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw defensive efforts from both sides intensify as neither team managed to find their way into the end zone until late in this period. The Sun Devils edged ahead slightly by adding another field goal to their tally, bringing them up by three points going into the final stretch.

Fourth Quarter

The fourth quarter turned into an offensive showcase as both teams exchanged blows on their way downfield. Robertson continued his aerial assault with another touchdown pass, this time finding wide receiver Kole Wilson in stride for an eight-yard score. Despite these efforts, turnovers proved costly for Baylor; Josh Cameron’s two lost fumbles hindered momentum and allowed Arizona State to capitalize on opportunities.

Jackie Marshall stood out defensively for Baylor with seven combined tackles and one sack that momentarily stalled Arizona State’s advance but ultimately wasn't enough to turn things around completely.
