The Eagles have had a rollercoaster season so far, with their most recent victory against Holy Cross Crusaders by a narrow margin of 31-28 on September 9. That game saw BC's offense amass over 400 total yards, with an impressive balance between rushing (202 yards) and passing (201 yards). The team's red zone efficiency was perfect, converting all five opportunities into scores. This level of offensive production will be crucial when facing FSU.

However, it wasn't just the offense that shone; BC's defense also stepped up by forcing two fumbles and recording one sack against Holy Cross. While they didn't manage any interceptions that day, their ability to disrupt plays will be vital against an FSU team known for its dynamic playmakers.

On the other side of the field stands Florida State Seminoles, a formidable opponent with their own set of strengths. To secure a win at home, BC must replicate their defensive performance from November 27 last year when they sacked Syracuse Orange six times despite losing 23-32.

One area where BC needs improvement is ball security; they fumbled three times in their last game but were fortunate not to lose any. Against FSU's aggressive defense, such mistakes could prove costly.

Special teams also look promising for BC as they had perfect kicking records in both field goals and extra points during their previous outing against Holy Cross. Maintaining this consistency will provide them with an edge in what could be a closely contested match-up.

The Eagles' fans have reasons for optimism but should also recognize that discipline is key; penalties cost them over 100 yards against Holy Cross which can't happen if they want to control the game flow against FSU.

Looking ahead to September 16 at Alumni Stadium – kickoff scheduled for noon local time – fans can catch all the action live on ABC network. It’s set up to be an enthralling contest as Boston College aims to build momentum early in the season while defending home turf against Florida State Seminoles' challenge.
