The Boston College Eagles started strong, leading by seven points after the first quarter and maintaining their lead into halftime with an additional seven-point advantage in the second quarter. However, momentum shifted after halftime as they were unable to score in both third and fourth quarters. The Clemson Tigers capitalized on this, scoring thirteen points in the third and eight points in the fourth to secure their victory.

Despite their inability to add to their score in the second half, Boston College's offense had notable performances. The passing game accumulated 208 yards with a completion percentage of fifty-two percent and two touchdowns; one touchdown pass was notably long at forty-eight yards. Their rushing efforts added sixty-seven yards to their total offensive yardage including one touchdown from within two yards out.

The receiving corps for Boston College managed thirteen receptions totaling 208 yards and securing nine first downs for their team. Their efficiency was evident as they converted all three red zone attempts into scores and achieved a one hundred percent success rate on goal-to-go situations.

Penalties played a significant role for both teams; however, it was particularly impactful for Boston College who incurred twelve penalties amounting to ninety-two penalty yards which contributed three first downs for Clemson.

Special teams saw mixed results with four punts averaging approximately forty-one net yards each but managing only one punt inside twenty-yard line without any being blocked or returned for touchdowns. Kickoff returns yielded twenty-four return yards from just one opportunity.

As they look ahead, Boston College will aim to regroup before facing Syracuse Orange at JMA Wireless Dome on November 7th at 7:00 PM local time (EST). Fans can catch this upcoming game broadcasted on RSN networks where they hope to see Boston College bounce back from this narrow defeat.
