In an intense battle at the Carrier Dome, the Boston College Eagles edged out a victory over the Syracuse Orange. The Eagles' offense accumulated a total of 399 yards, with an impressive average gain of 5.25 yards per play. Their rushing attack was particularly effective, churning out 191 yards over 47 attempts and averaging over four yards per carry.

The passing game also contributed significantly to the Eagles' offense. The quarterback completed an outstanding 69 percent of his passes for a total of 208 yards and one touchdown, which came from a notable longest completion that spanned 39 yards. This aerial assault was complemented by receiving efforts that yielded an average of over ten yards per catch and included seven first downs.

Special teams played their part as well; field goal kickers made three out of five attempts with their longest being from 34 yards out. Although two field goals were missed, they managed to maintain a success rate of sixty percent overall.

Defensively, Boston College showed dominance by recording four sacks and six tackles for loss while holding Syracuse to just thirteen points throughout the game. They also forced one fumble which they recovered themselves and intercepted one pass that was returned for two additional yards.

Penalties could have been problematic as seven were called against them resulting in sixty-five penalty-yards; however, this did not deter them from securing their victory.

The next game promises to be another exciting event as the Boston College Eagles will host Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill on November 14th at 3:30 PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch all the action live on ABC as both teams strive to add another win to their records in this upcoming contest.
