The Boston College offense had moments of brilliance throughout the game. Quarterback Grayson James completed 18 out of 32 attempts for 237 yards, throwing one touchdown and one interception. His performance was bolstered by running back Kye Robichaux, who rushed for 90 yards on 21 attempts and scored two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to find gaps in the Mustangs' defense.


Jordan McDonald also contributed significantly to the rushing attack with 63 yards on just eleven carries. The offensive line's efforts allowed the team to accumulate a total of 180 rushing yards from various contributors including Treshaun Ward and James himself.

Defensive Standouts


On defense, Daveon Crouch led by example with eight tackles and two tackles for loss but couldn't manage to sack SMU's quarterback despite multiple pressures. Cam Horsley also made his presence felt on defense by contributing four tackles and one tackle for loss.


The defensive unit managed an interception thanks to Carter Davis who returned it for twenty-six yards setting up a crucial scoring opportunity for Boston College. However, despite these individual performances, they struggled to contain SMU's dynamic offense which put up thirty-eight points.
