From the outset, the Bearcats established dominance on both sides of the ball. The offense amassed an impressive total of 504 yards with a balanced attack that saw them gain 242 yards on the ground and another 271 through the air. The rushing unit was particularly effective, averaging nearly six yards per carry and contributing four touchdowns to their tally. One standout moment was a remarkable rush that broke free for a stunning 48-yard touchdown.

The passing game was equally efficient for Cincinnati, with an exceptional completion rate of approximately 81 percent resulting in three touchdowns. The longest pass connected for an impressive 45 yards and culminated in one of those scores from just shy of midfield at 43 yards out.

Defensively, Cincinnati was relentless, racking up six sacks and recovering one fumble while holding their opponents to just ten points throughout four quarters. Their defensive prowess stifled any momentum from Memphis and contributed significantly to controlling the game's tempo.

Special teams also played their part; although no punts were blocked or returned for touchdowns, they consistently pinned Memphis back with three punts landing inside the twenty-yard line.
