First Quarter

The Bearcats came out strong in the first quarter, scoring 17 points while keeping the Cyclones scoreless. Brendan Sorsby led Cincy's offense with precision passing and strategic play-calling. His connection with wide receiver Caleb Goodie was particularly effective, resulting in an impressive 82-yard touchdown pass that set the tone for the game.

Second Quarter

In response to Cincy's early dominance, Iowa State rallied in the second quarter. The Clones managed to put up 15 points against Cincinnati's defense. However, Cincy continued to find success on offense as Evan Pryor showcased his rushing prowess with two touchdowns and a total of 111 rushing yards by halftime.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw a shift in momentum as Iowa State tightened their defense and limited Cincinnati's scoring opportunities. Despite this defensive effort from ISU Cyclones, they could only manage one touchdown during this period while holding Cincy scoreless.

Fourth Quarter

As tensions rose in the fourth quarter, both teams exchanged blows on offense. The Cats sealed their victory with another touchdown drive led by Sorsby’s tactical passing plays combined with Tawee Walker’s consistent ground game contributions totaling 89 rushing yards for him alone.

Cincinnati's defense also played a crucial role throughout; Jake Golday stood out defensively recording one sack among his team-high of fourteen tackles along with forcing one fumble which proved pivotal during critical moments when stopping ISU’s advances downfield.
