At Folsom Field, the home crowd witnessed the Buffaloes' offense amass a total of 532 yards. The passing game was particularly effective; quarterback play resulted in five touchdowns through the air and an additional one on the ground. Despite being sacked four times, they managed to throw for 400 yards with a completion percentage of roughly 69 percent and an average of about eight yards per attempt. Their longest pass completion was for 48 yards.

The rushing attack added balance to their offense with 132 yards on the ground from 35 attempts. This included a touchdown run of 14 yards as part of their red zone efficiency where they scored on four out of five opportunities. However, their field goal unit failed to contribute points as they missed their only attempt from beyond forty-nine yards.

Penalties were a significant issue for both teams throughout this encounter; however, it was particularly acute for the Buffaloes who incurred seventeen penalties totaling over one hundred penalty yards which hindered several drives.

On special teams, punting was solid with three attempts averaging around forty-three net yards each and two landing inside the twenty-yard line. Kickoffs also saw three touchbacks from six attempts.
