At Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium, the Duke Blue Devils faced a tough opponent in the Pittsburgh Panthers. Despite a valiant effort, the home team could not overcome the offensive onslaught brought by their adversaries. The Blue Devils managed to accumulate a total of 384 yards throughout the game, with their passing game contributing 241 yards and two touchdowns. Their rushing efforts added another 143 yards to their total offense.

The quarterback for Duke had an average passing day with a completion percentage of around 61 percent and an average of over five yards per attempt. He connected on two touchdown passes, with his longest being for 32 yards. However, he also suffered six sacks during the course of play which hindered some drives.

On special teams, Duke's kick return unit provided one of the highlights with an impressive touchdown return that spanned 86 yards – showcasing both speed and agility on that play. Additionally, field goal kicking was precise as they made both attempts they took; one from within the range of thirty-nine yards and another from forty-nine.

Defensively speaking, while there were bright spots such as recording three sacks and recovering two fumbles forced by their defense – including one that resulted in a safety – it wasn't enough to slow down Pittsburgh's high-scoring offense.

Penalties were relatively low for both sides; however, this did not benefit Duke enough to turn around their fortunes in this encounter.

Looking ahead for fans of The Duke Blue Devils: they will be traveling away from home for their next challenge against Virginia Tech Hokies at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg on November 13th at 8:30 PM local time. This upcoming contest can be viewed live on ACC Network via satellite channel number six hundred twelve.
