In a challenging week 14 game, the Duke Blue Devils faced off against the Miami (FL) Hurricanes at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. By the end of play, the scoreboard reflected a decisive outcome: 48-0 in favor of the visitors.

Duke Blue Devils VS Miami (FL) Hurricanes

The Duke Blue Devils struggled to find their footing throughout the game. Despite completing an impressive 80 percent of their passes for a total of 121 yards, they were unable to convert any drives into points on the board. The offense was stifled by four sacks and an interception that further hampered their efforts. On top of that, they lost all four fumbles during play which contributed to five turnovers.

The rushing attack didn't fare much better for Duke as they managed only 56 yards on 33 attempts, averaging less than two yards per carry without finding paydirt. Receiving efforts led to six first downs but no touchdowns were recorded despite catching all but five targeted passes for a total reception yardage equaling that gained through passing.

Special teams had moments of efficiency with punting being one bright spot; six out of seven punts landed inside Miami's (FL) twenty-yard line and one punt traveled as far as fifty-seven yards.

On defense, Duke managed to record one sack and forced one fumble which they recovered but could not capitalize on these opportunities. Penalties also played a role in this tough outing for Duke with six infractions setting them back fifty-five yards over the course of play.

Miami (FL) Hurricanes displayed dominance from start to finish scoring fourteen points in both first and third quarters while adding seven and six points respectively in second and fourth quarters. Their offensive onslaught was relentless leaving no room for doubt about their superiority on this day.

Looking ahead after this tough loss, fans can catch The Duke Blue Devils' next football game against Florida State Seminoles scheduled for December twelve o'clock noon Eastern Time at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee broadcasted live on ACC Network.
