The Pirates showcased a solid offensive performance throughout the game. The passing attack was particularly effective, with the quarterback completing 22 out of 34 attempts for a total of 267 yards. This included an impressive longest pass completion of 67 yards which also resulted in one of two passing touchdowns for the team. The receiving corps was on point as well, averaging over 12 yards per catch and securing both touchdown receptions.

On defense, East Carolina managed to apply pressure on their opponents by recording one sack and five tackles for loss. They also forced one fumble during the game and successfully recovered it, demonstrating their ability to create turnovers.

Special teams played their part too; although no punts were blocked or returned for touchdowns, they contributed by pinning one punt inside the opponent's 20-yard line and had an average net yardage per punt that kept field position competitive.

Penalties could have been problematic but were kept relatively low with only six penalties costing them a total of just under half a hundred yards throughout the entire game.

East Carolina's efficiency shone through in critical situations; they converted nearly half their third-down attempts and were successful on all fourth-down attempts. Their red zone efficiency was notable as well - scoring points on three out of four trips inside their opponent's twenty-yard line.

Despite these efforts from East Carolina Pirates' players across all fronts – offense, defense and special teams – it wasn't quite enough to secure victory against Navy Midshipmen who managed to score slightly more points by game end.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought contest at home soil in Greenville NC., fans can mark their calendars for another exciting matchup as East Carolina Pirates will be playing away against South Florida Bulls at FAU Stadium located in Boca Raton FL.. This upcoming encounter is scheduled for October first year two thousand twenty-two at six thirty PM Eastern Time Zone and will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
