The Owls have had a rough patch in their last three games. A closer look at their performance reveals some areas of concern but also spots of promise. In their most recent match-up against Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, they suffered a heavy defeat with a scoreline that read 52-17. Despite this loss, there were glimpses of potential in their play. The defense managed two interceptions and one fumble recovery; however, they failed to record any sacks and allowed over 500 yards.

In terms of offense during that game, passing was more productive than rushing with an average gain per play standing at 4.4 yards but was marred by three interceptions thrown by the quarterback. Rushing only yielded an average of less than one yard per carry which is far below what is needed for a balanced offensive attack.

The previous game against Old Dominion Monarchs also ended in disappointment for the Owls with a final score of 30-16 in favor of ODU. The defense did manage two sacks and forced three fumbles but ultimately could not stop ODU's momentum.

However, it wasn't all negative for FAU; during their home game against Marshall Thundering Herd on November 6th despite losing 28-13, they showed signs of life particularly on offense where they amassed over 400 total yards including an impressive rushing total of 243 yards on 47 carries indicating an effective ground game which could be crucial going forward.

Looking ahead to this matchup at FAU Stadium on November 28th fans should expect both teams to come out fighting hard as both seek redemption from previous setbacks. For Florida Atlantic University's team specifically improving upon defensive solidity and maintaining offensive consistency will be key factors if they are aiming for victory before their own crowd.

Fans can catch all the action live from FAU Stadium or tune into STADIUM network broadcasts as these two teams go head-to-head under Boca Raton skies.
