The Florida Gators fans witnessed an impressive display by the Ole Miss Rebels, who took control of the game from the start. The first quarter saw them put up 13 points against a scoreless effort from the Commodores. Maintaining their momentum into the second quarter, they matched their earlier performance with another 13 points, leaving halftime with a solid lead of 26-0.

Despite being on opposing turf, Vanderbilt managed to find some form in the third quarter when they scored their only touchdown of the game—a modest two-yard rush that capped off one successful red zone attempt out of five. This brief resurgence brought their total points to seven but did not significantly alter the course of action as it was their sole scoring play for that period.

The fourth quarter saw Ole Miss add another seven points to seal their victory while keeping Vanderbilt scoreless once again. The Commodores' offense struggled throughout, managing only one first down through passing and ten via rushing attempts. Their passing game was particularly stifled; they completed just eight out of twenty attempts for a mere sixty yards and suffered two interceptions along with five sacks.

Vanderbilt's defense attempted to apply pressure by achieving three sacks and forcing one fumble which they recovered themselves; however, these efforts were overshadowed by Ole Miss's relentless attack. On special teams, there were no blocked punts or returns for touchdowns that could have turned things around for Vanderbilt.

As fans look ahead after this week nine encounter at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on October 28th with an attendance nearing capacity at 62,914 spectators—the focus remains on how teams will perform as they advance through this season's games. For those unable to attend future games or catch them live can tune into broadcasts scheduled later in this year's football calendar.
