The Missouri Tigers extended their undefeated streak to 5-0 with a commanding victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores, who fell to a 2-4 record after the game. The final scoreline read 38-21 in favor of the visiting team.

Missouri Tigers VS Vanderbilt Commodores

At Nashville's FirstBank Stadium, the Tigers showcased an impressive offensive display against the Commodores. The Missouri offense racked up a total of 532 yards with an average gain of seven yards per play. Their passing game was particularly effective, as they completed 33 out of 41 attempts for a total of 395 yards and four touchdowns. The quarterback's performance was stellar, boasting a passer rating close to perfect at around 194 and completing nearly eighty-one percent of his passes.

The rushing attack added another dimension to their game plan, contributing with one touchdown and accumulating over four yards per carry on average from their thirty-four attempts. The red zone efficiency stood out as well; they capitalized on all five opportunities presented to them.

Special teams also played their part; although no punts were blocked or returned for touchdowns, the Tigers managed five touchbacks from seven kickoffs and successfully converted one field goal from within twenty-nine yards.

On defense, Missouri recorded one sack and five tackles for loss while limiting Vanderbilt's scoring opportunities throughout most quarters except for the fourth when both teams scored fourteen points each. Penalties could have been problematic as nine flags were thrown against them resulting in seventy-five penalty yards but it did not hinder their overall performance significantly.

As for Vanderbilt Commodores' efforts, despite scoring first in the opening quarter leading seven points to three, they struggled to keep pace with Missouri's relentless attack. They failed to score in both second and third quarters while managing two touchdowns in the final quarter which proved too little too late against a dominant Tigers side.

The fans witnessed an eventful evening where both teams fought hard but ultimately saw Missouri maintain its perfect start to this season while Vanderbilt will look forward to improving upon this result moving forward into week six.

Looking ahead, supporters can catch future broadcasts as Florida Gators continue through this exciting football season.
