The Florida International Panthers showcased their offensive capabilities by accumulating a total of 331 yards throughout the game. The team's rushing efforts were particularly effective, contributing 141 yards to their total yardage, including three touchdowns on the ground – one being an impressive 13-yard dash into the end zone. The passing game also played its part with one touchdown and an overall completion rate of approximately 67 percent for a total passing gain of 190 yards.

Special teams had their moments as well; two field goals were successfully made from within the range of 29 and 39 yards respectively, contributing six points to the final tally. Furthermore, all extra point kicks attempted by the Panthers sailed through without issue.

Defensively, Florida International was able to apply pressure on their opponents by recording two sacks and six tackles for loss which pushed back Sam Houston State's offense by an aggregate distance of nearly twenty yards. Additionally, they managed to block one special play which further disrupted any rhythm that Sam Houston State hoped to establish.

The Bearkats did not go down without showing some resistance though; they put up ten points in both second and fourth quarters but couldn't maintain consistency across all periods. Their defense intercepted one pass from FIU's quarterback but failed to capitalize on it with any scoring plays.

As for penalties in this hard-fought contest, neither team crossed over into excessive disciplinary territory; however, it is worth noting that both teams kept infractions relatively low with only five penalties against FIU totaling thirty penalty yards.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team in person or from afar: The next game for Florida International will be held at Riccardo Silva Stadium against Jacksonville State Gamecocks on October 25th at around 7:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). This encounter can be caught live on CBS Sports Network via satellite channel number two hundred twenty-one.
