Florida International Panthers Secure Victory at Pratt and Whitney Stadium in Football Game

The Florida International Panthers now stand at 3-1 after a hard-fought game against the UConn Huskies, who are left with a 0-3 record. The final score was 24-17 in favor of the Panthers.

In an impressive display of offensive capability, the Florida International Panthers emerged victorious over the UConn Huskies at Pratt and Whitney Stadium. The Panthers' quarterback delivered an outstanding performance with a passing rating of 168, completing 15 out of 27 attempts for a total of 284 yards. This included a remarkable longest pass completion of 64 yards that resulted in one of two passing touchdowns for the team.


The rushing game added to their offensive mix, contributing one touchdown and securing five first downs from thirty-three attempts. Despite facing resistance that led to seven tackles for loss, totaling negative eighteen yards, they managed to gain eighty yards on the ground overall.


Special teams played their part as well; although one field goal attempt was missed, another sailed through from twenty-seven yards out. The kicking unit also successfully converted all three extra-point attempts.


Defensively, the Florida International Panthers held strong throughout most of the game. They recorded nine tackles for loss and sacked the opposing quarterback once for nine lost yards on defense. Their efforts were instrumental in keeping possession time to nearly twenty-eight minutes while limiting penalties to eight instances costing sixty-five penalty yards.


The receiving corps made significant contributions as well with fifteen receptions totaling two hundred eighty-four receiving yards and two touchdowns—the longest being sixty-four yards which matched their longest pass play.


On special teams returns, punt returners managed fifty-seven total return yards across six returns with their longest being twenty-one yards; kick returners added thirty-two more return yardage on just one opportunity.
