Sun Bowl Stadium Showdown: Florida International Panthers vs. UTEP Miners in American Football Clash

The Florida International Panthers faced a challenging game at the Sun Bowl Stadium against the UTEP Miners, concluding with a 6-40 scoreline. The Panthers' season record now stands at 4-8, while the Miners improved to 5-7.

UTEP Miners VS Florida International Panthers

The game was marked by the Panthers' struggle to find their rhythm on offense. The team managed only 71 total yards compared to the Miners' commanding performance. The passing game for the Panthers was particularly stifled, with just six completions on 21 attempts for a mere 56 yards and an interception that did not lead to a touchdown. Their rushing efforts were equally contained, totaling just 15 yards over 22 carries.

Defensively, Florida International managed one sack and forced one fumble which they returned for their only touchdown of the game. However, this effort was overshadowed by the Miners’ offensive onslaught that put up a total of 40 points throughout the contest.

Special teams play offered no respite for Florida International either; although they had two touchbacks from kickoffs and an average punt distance of approximately 42 yards over eight attempts, these plays did not significantly impact their field position or scoring opportunities.

Penalties were minimal with only three infractions costing them a total of 40 yards; however, this small number is little consolation given their overall performance on both sides of the ball.

The attendance at Sun Bowl Stadium witnessed what can be described as a tough outing for Florida International with key moments such as failing all twelve third-down conversions except two and not capitalizing on any red zone opportunities.

Looking ahead, fans can mark their calendars for when The Florida International Panthers will host Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at Riccardo Silva Stadium in Miami. This next encounter is scheduled for November 26th at around six o'clock in the evening Eastern Time and will be broadcasted live on ESPN3. Fans are encouraged to show support as The Panthers aim to bounce back from this setback in front of their home crowd.
