First Quarter

The game began with the UConn Huskies taking an early lead, scoring 14 points in the first quarter. The Panthers struggled to find their rhythm offensively and were unable to put any points on the board during this period.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, FIU managed to score their first points through a field goal by Noah Grant from 26 yards out. However, UConn continued their offensive surge with another 13 points before halftime. Despite efforts from players like Joe Pesansky who completed passes for significant yardage, turnovers hindered FIU's progress.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw UConn extend their lead further with an additional 17 points. The Panthers' defense showed moments of resilience; Keegan Davis notably recorded two sacks and forced a fumble during this period. Yet, these efforts were not enough to contain the Huskies' relentless offense.

Fourth Quarter

In the final quarter, FIU found some success on offense when Kejon Owens scored a rushing touchdown following his consistent performance throughout the game. However, it was too little too late as UConn matched this effort with another touchdown of their own.

Despite standout performances from players such as Mister Clark who contributed defensively with tackles and forced fumbles, Florida International could not overcome their opponents' dominance across all quarters. In post-game analysis discussions emphasized areas for improvement including reducing turnovers which totaled five for FIU during this matchup.
