Fresno State Bulldogs Dominate New Mexico Lobos at Bulldog Stadium in Football Showdown

In a commanding display of football, the Fresno State Bulldogs improved their season record to 8-3 with a decisive victory over the New Mexico Lobos, who fell to 3-7. The final score stood at 34-7 in favor of the home team.

The game, held at Bulldog Stadium at Jim Sweeney Field, saw an impressive turnout with 35,020 fans in attendance. The Bulldogs' offense was on fire throughout the game, amassing a total of 397 yards. Their passing game was particularly effective; Fresno State's quarterback completed an outstanding 77 percent of his passes for a total of 300 yards and three touchdowns. One pass even went for an impressive distance of 78 yards.


The rushing attack added another dimension to their offense with a total of 97 yards on the ground and one touchdown. Despite being tackled for loss four times, they managed eight first downs through rushing efforts alone. The offensive line also played its part well by allowing just three sacks during the entire game.


Special teams contributed significantly as well with two successful field goals including one from beyond fifty yards out. They maintained perfect efficiency in both red zone and goal-to-go situations.


On defense, Fresno State was equally dominant; they recorded six tackles for loss totaling twenty negative yards against their opponents and intercepted one pass which they returned for eighteen yards. Additionally, they defended against ten penalties totaling seventy-nine penalty yards but managed to keep their composure without letting it affect their overall performance too much.


The Bulldogs' special teams were not left out as they executed flawlessly on kickoffs covering four hundred eight total kickoff return yards while ensuring none resulted in touchbacks.
