Game Highlights


The Georgia defense was relentless throughout the game, accumulating seven sacks and three forced fumbles against a formidable Texas offense. Jalon Walker led this defensive masterclass with three sacks and seven tackles. Quarterback Carson Beck had a mixed day with 175 passing yards but threw three interceptions against an aggressive Texas defense. Despite these turnovers, Beck managed to complete crucial passes when needed most.

Peyton Woodring's perfect field goal record was another highlight for Georgia. He successfully converted all three attempts with his longest being from 48 yards out. This contributed significantly to maintaining distance on the scoreboard between Georgia and Texas.

Brett Thorson's punting also played a key role in field position battles. With an average net yardage of over fifty per punt and two landing inside the twenty-yard line, Thorson ensured that Texas often started with unfavorable field positions.
