The offensive unit of the Fighting Illini was nothing short of spectacular, amassing an impressive total of 486 yards. Quarterback Luke Altmyer was a standout performer on this front, completing an efficient 19 out of his 24 pass attempts for a total of 213 yards and adding four touchdowns to his name without suffering any interceptions. His stellar play earned him an outstanding passer rating of over two hundred percent. On the rushing front, Kaden Feagin led with notable prowess; he managed to accumulate over one hundred yards on just sixteen carries and crossed into the end zone once.

Not to be overshadowed by their offensive counterparts, Illinois' defense put up an impenetrable wall against Eastern Illinois' attempts at offense throughout all four quarters. The defensive squad was relentless in their pursuit, forcing two interceptions and recovering two fumbles while keeping their own scoreboard unblemished by preventing any points against them. Both Miles Scott and Torrie Cox Jr., made significant contributions with one interception each that played crucial roles in stopping Eastern Illinois' offensive drives dead in their tracks.

The special teams unit also had its share of spotlight in ensuring this comprehensive win; Ethan Moczulski's kickoffs were particularly effective as he managed five touchbacks from eight attempts for a total distance covered by kicks at over four hundred fifty yards which consistently challenged Eastern Illinois by confining them deep within their territory right from kickoff.
