Key Performances and Game Highlights


The Illinois offense was firing on all cylinders, amassing a total of 556 yards. Quarterback Luke Altmyer had an exceptional game, throwing for 379 yards with three touchdowns and completing nearly 59 percent of his passes. His performance was pivotal in maintaining the offensive momentum for Illinois throughout the game.


On the ground, Josh McCray led the rushing attack with impressive efficiency. He carried the ball for 78 yards and found his way into the end zone twice on just sixteen attempts. His ability to break tackles and gain crucial first downs was instrumental in keeping drives alive.
