First Quarter

The first quarter saw both teams exchanging early blows. The Fighting Illini managed to put points on the board with an impressive 59-yard touchdown pass from Luke Altmyer to Collin Dixon. However, Indiana responded swiftly with two touchdowns of their own, taking a lead that they would not relinquish.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Illinois struggled offensively but managed a field goal courtesy of David Olano's accurate kick from 46 yards out. Despite this effort, Indiana's offense was relentless and added three more touchdowns before halftime.

Third Quarter

After halftime adjustments, Illinois aimed to tighten their defense but found it difficult against IU’s dynamic offensive plays. The third quarter saw no scoring from Champaign's Own while IU continued their dominance by adding another pair of touchdowns.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter mirrored much of what had transpired earlier in the game as Indiana sealed their commanding performance with two additional touchdowns. Despite efforts from players like Dylan Rosiek who led his team defensively with eight tackles and Joe Barna who recorded one sack and one tackle for loss, it was not enough to halt IU’s momentum.

Illinois' punter Keelan Crimmins showcased his skills by averaging 48 yards per punt over eight attempts; however, special teams alone could not bridge the gap created by IU’s high-powered offense.
