Hoosiers Outmatched at Ross-Ade Stadium by Boilermakers in Football Showdown

The Indiana Hoosiers' record fell to 2-10 after a challenging game against the Purdue Boilermakers, who improved their record to 9-4. The final score at Ross-Ade Stadium was 7-44 in favor of the home team.

Purdue Boilermakers VS Indiana Hoosiers

In a tough outing for the Indiana Hoosiers, they managed to accumulate only 205 total yards compared to the Purdue Boilermakers' commanding performance. The Hoosiers' offense struggled throughout the game, with their passing game contributing just 147 yards and no touchdowns. Despite completing 60 percent of their passes, an interception and four sacks hindered their progress. On the ground, things didn't fare much better for Indiana as they rushed for a mere 58 yards across 32 attempts, averaging less than two yards per carry.

The sole touchdown for the Hoosiers came from their rushing efforts but did little to shift momentum in a game dominated by Purdue's defense and efficient scoring. In terms of special teams play, Indiana's punters were kept busy with seven attempts totaling 246 yards; however, none resulted in blocked punts or touchdowns.

Penalties also played a role in this contest as Indiana accrued eight penalties amounting to 66 penalty yards which contributed to stalling drives and giving away advantageous positions on the field. Conversely, while not dominating statistically on third down conversions with a success rate of approximately 47 percent, it was clear that converting these opportunities into points proved difficult for them.

On defense, despite recording one sack and three tackles for loss among other defensive efforts totaling up to fifty-six combined tackles; these actions were not enough to contain Purdue's offense which put up forty-four points against them.

As fans look ahead after this tough loss at Ross-Ade Stadium on November twenty-seventh at half past eight PM local time with an attendance of over sixty-one thousand spectators; they can anticipate future broadcasts where they hope to see improvements from both sides of the ball from Indiana University's football team.
