In an intense game at Spartan Stadium, the Indiana Hoosiers delivered an impressive performance against the Michigan State Spartans. The Hoosiers' offense was on full display as they accumulated a total of 288 yards. A significant contribution came from their rushing efforts which accounted for 257 yards over 44 attempts, averaging nearly six yards per carry. The ground attack was highlighted by a remarkable longest rush of 79 yards that resulted in one of their four rushing touchdowns.

The passing game for the Hoosiers may not have produced eye-catching numbers with only two completions out of seven attempts for a total of just 31 passing yards; however, it was enough to complement their dominant running game. Defensively, Indiana managed to keep pressure on their opponents despite not recording any sacks or quarterback hits but did manage to secure an interception and defended one pass.

Special teams also played a crucial role in this victory as the Hoosiers executed successfully on kick returns with six returns totaling an impressive 192 yards. This included an electrifying longest return touchdown covering 88 yards that added vital points to their tally.

Penalties were relatively controlled by both teams; however, it's worth noting that Indiana incurred seven penalties amounting to forty penalty yards throughout the game. Their discipline allowed them to maintain possession and capitalize on scoring opportunities when presented.

Indiana's kicking game saw mixed results with one field goal made from forty yards out and another blocked attempt among two tries. Nevertheless, they were perfect in extra point kicks landing all four attempted and also succeeded in converting a two-point attempt after scoring during overtime which solidified their lead.

As fans look ahead after this hard-fought win by the Indiana Hoosiers football team, attention turns toward their next challenge at Memorial Stadium (Bloomington, IN). They will host Purdue Boilermakers on November twenty-sixth at eight thirty PM Eastern Time where fans can tune into BTN network via satellite channel six hundred ten for live coverage of what promises to be another exciting college football encounter.
