Indiana Hoosiers Overpower UCLA Bruins in a Commanding Victory at Rose Bowl

The Indiana Hoosiers improved their season record to 3-0 after a decisive 42-13 victory over the UCLA Bruins, who now stand at 1-1. This game, held at the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, showcased the Hoosiers' dominance on both sides of the ball.

Game Highlights


The Hoosiers' offense was unstoppable, amassing a total of 430 yards. Quarterback Kurtis Rourke had an exceptional game, completing 25 out of 33 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns. His performance was instrumental in Indiana's success, boasting a passer rating of nearly 194. The ground game also contributed significantly to the offensive onslaught, with the team rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns across 29 attempts.


On defense, Indiana was just as impressive. The team recorded two sacks and one interception while limiting UCLA to only one touchdown and two field goals. Defensive back Amare Ferrell stood out with one sack and an interception that halted UCLA's momentum.


Player Performances


Several players made significant contributions to this victory. Wide receiver Miles Cross led all receivers with six receptions for 90 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Justice Ellison had ten carries for 47 yards and scored once, showcasing his agility and power running between the tackles.


Special teams played a clean game as well; punter James Evans punted once for a total of thirty-eight yards placing it strategically to prevent any return yardage by UCLA.
