Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Iowa responded strongly by adding 7 points to their tally. The Hawks' defense tightened up and limited IU to just a field goal by Nico Radicic from 46 yards out. Despite this pushback from Iowa, Rolijah Hardy's defensive efforts kept IU competitive by contributing crucial tackles.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw both teams locked in a defensive stalemate as neither side managed to score any points. Mitch McCarthy played a pivotal role for IU with his punting skills, averaging nearly 39 yards per punt and pinning Iowa deep in their own territory twice inside the 20-yard line.

Fourth Quarter

The fourth quarter was where Indiana truly shone. With tenacity and strategic plays, they scored an additional 10 points while limiting Iowa to just five. A standout moment came when Amare Ferrell intercepted an important pass from Iowa's quarterback which shifted momentum back to IU’s favor—a key moment in Indiana Hoosiers vs Iowa Hawkeyes turning point.

IU’s defense held strong throughout this period; Isaiah Jones recorded half a sack and contributed significantly alongside Kellan Wyatt who also added pressure on the opposing quarterback with another half-sack.

With this victory over the Hawks (20-15), Indiana maintains its perfect season record of 5-0 while pushing Iowa down to a balanced record of 3-2—an impressive feat noted among Indiana Hoosiers vs Iowa Hawkeyes key moments.
