The offensive efforts of the Iowa team were led by their rushing attack which amassed a total of 163 yards on 40 attempts. Special teams played a crucial role as well; despite having two field goals blocked, the Hawkeyes managed to split their attempts down the middle with two successful field goals out of four tries, including one from within the range of 29 to 39 yards. Furthermore, they executed flawlessly on extra-point kicks and maintained discipline throughout the game with only two penalties amounting to ten penalty yards.

On offense for Nebraska, there was resistance but not enough to overcome Iowa's lead. They managed to put up ten points against a stout Hawkeyes defense but ultimately fell short as time expired.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought contest under artificial lights before an attendance of over eighty-six thousand fans, supporters can anticipate another exciting encounter as the Iowa Hawkeyes are set to face off against Michigan Wolverines at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
