The game, held at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, saw an impressive turnout with 57,142 fans in attendance. The Cyclones' offense was relentless throughout the game, amassing a total of 469 yards. The passing game was particularly effective; quarterback play resulted in four touchdowns and an average of nearly ten yards per attempt. Completing over 80 percent of his passes for a total of 293 yards and a passer rating close to 200, the quarterback's performance was central to the Cyclones' success.

On the ground, Iowa State also made significant strides with an average gain per rush play approaching five yards and two rushing touchdowns. Their longest run stretched for 23 yards as they accumulated a total rushing yardage of 176 on the day.

The special teams unit contributed positively as well; they successfully executed all six extra point attempts and managed three touchbacks from seven kickoffs. Additionally, their punt team averaged almost fifty net yards per punt across three attempts.

Defensively, Iowa State showed discipline by limiting penalties to just three for twenty yards throughout four quarters. They also recorded one interception during the game which helped stifle any momentum that Southeast Missouri State attempted to build.

The Redhawks managed to put up ten points against Iowa State's defense but struggled significantly more than their opponents on both sides of the ball. Their efforts were most notable in the second quarter where they scored all their points but failed to maintain that level throughout other periods.

Looking ahead after this emphatic home win, fans can anticipate another exciting contest when Iowa State travels to face their rivals at Kinnick Stadium against Iowa Hawkeyes on September 10th at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. This next matchup will be broadcasted on BTN satellite channel number six hundred ten for those who wish to follow along live.
