In their previous game, the Cyclones showcased a balanced attack on both sides of the ball. Offensively, they amassed a total of 353 yards, with 267 yards coming through the air and 86 on the ground. Quarterback Rocco Becht was particularly impressive, completing 20 of his 26 attempts for 267 yards and two touchdowns. His performance earned him an outstanding passer rating of 188.57. Wide receiver Jaylin Noel emerged as Becht's top target, hauling in eight receptions for 135 yards and one touchdown.

The defense also stood tall against North Dakota Fighting Hawks, limiting them to just three points throughout the contest. The defensive unit recorded two sacks and six tackles for loss while forcing one interception that was returned for 24 yards by Beau Freyler.

Special teams played a crucial role as well; Keegan Shackford and Jace T. Gilbert combined forces to ensure all kickoffs resulted in touchbacks, negating any return opportunities.

As they prepare to face the Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium—a venue known for its raucous atmosphere—the Cyclones will need to maintain their discipline and execute flawlessly across all three phases of the game.

Fans can catch this thrilling encounter live on CBS on September 7th at 3:30 PM ET from Iowa City's iconic Kinnick Stadium. With both teams looking to assert dominance early in the season, this matchup is sure not only to entertain but also set the tone for both programs' campaigns moving forward.
