Cyclones' Offensive and Defensive Highlights


The Cyclones showcased their offensive versatility and defensive resilience throughout the game. Quarterback Rocco Becht led the charge with 274 passing yards, completing 20 out of his 47 attempts which included one touchdown pass but also saw two interceptions. His efforts on the ground were equally impressive as he rushed for two touchdowns and accumulated a total of 97 yards on 20 carries.


Jaylin Noel emerged as Becht's favorite target, racking up an impressive 153 receiving yards on eight receptions. On special teams, Tyler Perkins had a busy day punting with six attempts totaling 297 yards and managing to place one inside the opponent's twenty-yard line.

Defensively, Iowa State managed to keep pressure on UCF despite not recording any sacks during the game. The team tallied five tackles for loss among their total of forty-three tackles. Beau Freyler and Jontez Williams each secured an interception that contributed significantly to halting UCF's momentum at crucial junctures in the match.


Knights' Valiant Effort


Despite falling short in this encounter, UCF demonstrated commendable tenacity and skill. Their offense managed to put up thirty-five points against a stout Cyclone defense which is no small feat given Iowa State's form this season.
