Cyclones' Offensive Highlights

The Cyclones' offense was led by quarterback Rocco Becht, who threw for an impressive 383 yards with a completion rate of 65 percent and three touchdowns. His performance was highlighted by long passes and precise throws that kept the Cyclones competitive throughout the game. Wide receiver Jaylin Noel emerged as Becht's top target, amassing 167 receiving yards on eight catches with two touchdowns. His longest reception of 44 yards was one of the game's standout moments.

On the ground, running back Carson Hansen contributed significantly with 48 rushing yards on eight attempts and scored one touchdown. His efforts were complemented by Abu Sama III and Jaylon Jackson who collectively added to the team's rushing total which ultimately amounted to 78 yards.

Defensive Efforts and Special Teams

Despite their offensive prowess, Iowa State struggled defensively against a determined Kansas offense. The team failed to register any sacks or interceptions during the game but managed to accumulate a total of 69 combined tackles led by Ta'Shawn James with nine combined tackles followed closely by Joey Petersen with eight.

Special teams also played a crucial role in this tightly contested match-up. Punter Tyler Perkins had an average net yardage of approximately 47 per punt which helped in field positioning battles throughout the game. Kicker Kyle Konrardy remained perfect on field goal attempts converting both his tries with his longest being from 38 yards out.

As they look ahead, Iowa State will aim to regroup before their next challenge when they host Cincinnati Bearcats at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames on November 16th at 8:00 PM EDT. Fans can catch all the action live on FOX as both teams strive for victory in this upcoming encounter.
