In their last game against the Sooners, despite a loss with 40 points to Oklahoma's 55, the Jayhawks demonstrated an impressive offensive capability by amassing 524 total yards. Their rushing game was particularly strong with 348 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. However, defensively they struggled to contain their opponents' offense.

The following week brought another challenging contest against the Wildcats where Kansas scored 17 points to Kansas State's 21. The passing game showed some promise with two touchdowns and a completion rate of about 62 percent for a total of 232 yards through the air. Yet turnovers proved costly as they lost two fumbles.

Against Iowa State Cyclones at home, however, it was clear that improvements were needed as they managed only three points while conceding 27. The offense struggled both in passing and rushing but showed resilience on defense with three sacks.

The upcoming encounter promises to be an intriguing one as fans look forward to seeing whether Kansas can leverage its home field advantage and rally behind its offensive strengths while shoring up its defensive line against a formidable Texas team.

The clash between these two teams is scheduled for November 23rd at David Booth Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, KS. Kickoff is set for noon local time and fans can catch all the action live on Fox Sports 1 channel number 219.
