The Jayhawks' performance was highlighted by their ground game, which amassed an impressive 367 rushing yards. Kansas' passing attack added another dimension to their offense, with the quarterback throwing for 197 yards and achieving a completion percentage of fifty percent. Despite two interceptions, one pass resulted in a seven-yard touchdown. The receiving corps caught seventeen passes with an average of nearly twelve yards per reception and gained most of those yards after the catch.

Special teams played their part as well; Kansas executed all four extra point attempts successfully and made both field goal attempts, with the longest being from forty-one yards out. Their efficiency shone through in red zone situations where they had a one hundred percent success rate over four attempts.

Defensively, Kansas managed to sack the opposing quarterback once and recorded one interception during the game. They also forced one fumble but unfortunately lost it themselves once too.

On the other side of the ball, West Virginia's offense proved potent by putting up fifty-six points against Kansas' defense. Their scoring was consistent across quarters except for the third where they did not score any points while allowing fourteen by Kansas.

As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for when Kansas will take on Texas Tech Red Raiders at David Booth Memorial Stadium (Lawrence, KS). This upcoming encounter is scheduled for October 7th at noon local time and will be broadcasted on Fox Sports 1 satellite channel two hundred nineteen.
